Ashlyn J. Lembree is assistant clinical professor of the Intellectual Property and Transaction Clinic. She provides guidance to students as they gain a solid background in legal research and analysis, legal reasoning, trademark and copyright registration practice, business entity formation and governance practice, intellectual property contract drafting, handling intellectual property infringement claims and counseling by representing clients in actual cases. Professor Lembree also teaches Federal Trademark and Copyright Registration, Legal Research and Writing for the graduate programs and Litigation Analysis for the graduate programs.
With more than 10 years in practice, Lembree has extensive knowledge about integrating intellectual property issues into the needs of business law clients. Prior to joining Franklin Pierce Law Center, she practiced in one of New Hampshire's largest and oldest firms, where her practice focused on intellectual property and general business law, specifically with the formation of start-up businesses and new subsidiaries, particularly where patents, trademarks, copyrights, or trade secrets were contributed or licensed. Lembree also assisted businesses with the registration, licensing, management, and sale of intellectual property assets and with commercial transactions.
A graduate of Franklin Pierce Law Center, Lembree earned a BA at the University of Vermont in 1991. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association and Clinical Legal Education Association.
