Resouces for students with disabilities
Students and graduates with special needs may find job–related
assistance from reference sources in the Career Services Office and
from the website links set forth below. If your favorite site is not
listed below, please call the Career Services Office so that we may
consider updating our records and this web page.
The Office of Career Services provides assistance to all students and
does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Students who believe
that an employer working through Career Services has discriminated on
the basis of disability should bring their concerns to the attention of
the Director of Career Services.
IMPACT Job Fair
Law students and graduates from law schools across the country are
invited to participate in the IMPACT Career Fair for Students and
Attorneys with Disabilities. This event is hosted by the University of
Arizona Rogers College of Law and the Georgetown University Law

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
Information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is
available on the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
website at www.eeoc.gov. The EEOC website also contains links to
recent EEOC guidance on disability related issues, including the legal
obligation to make reasonable accommodations for attorneys with
disabilities in all areas of practice (available at
www.eeoc.gov/facts/accommodations-attorneys.html).
Office of Disability Employment Policy (U.S. Department of Labor)
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy
(ODEP) website (www.dol.gov/odep) offers a variety of resources,
including information designed to help adults with disabilities
understand employment issues such as job seeking, employment options,
and job accommodations. Information for adults with disabilities,
including answers to "Frequently Asked Questions" (available at www.dol.gov/odep/audiences/disabled_adults.htm).
Job Accommodation Network
The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is not a job placement service, but
an international toll–free consulting service, sponsored by ODEP,
designed to increase the employability of people with disabilities by:
(1) providing individualized worksite accommodations solutions, (2)
providing technical assistance regarding the ADA and other disability
related legislation, and (3) educating callers about self–employment

Interviewing Tips for Law Students with Disabilities
The Association of Law Schools & Legal Employers (NALP) publication
"Interviewing Tips for Law Students with Disabilities and Employers Who
Recruit Them" provides tips for both employers and students who are
going through the interview process. Copies of the publication are
available from the Career Services Office.
