Commencement ceremony order of exercises
The commencement ceremony typically lasts just under 2 hours. The dean's reception, which includes a light lunch, salads, dessert, punch and coffee, immediately follows the ceremony. The order of exercises follows:
- Processional
- National Anthem
- Welcome and introduction
- Advice from the faculty
- Student speakers
- Special recognition award
- Awarding of honorary degrees
- Commencement address
- Awarding of degrees
- Closing remarks
- Recessional
- Dean's reception
