Apple v. Samsung and the Smartphone Wars

The legal conflict between Apple and Samsung is one of the most extensive patent conflicts in history. It spans many countries and has potentially huge economic impact.

In the United States alone, multiple products, multiple patents, multiple suits in Federal District Court, multiple interim decisions from the CAFC, multiple USPTO actions, an action in the ITC and possible involvement of the Justice Department make this a complex conflict that has not yet been resolved and that will continue for some time to come.

Join Professor Jeffrey J. Hawley, Distinguished Fellow in Intellectual Property at UNH Law, for a discussion of this important milestone in patent law.

The talk will be co-hosted by UNH Law's Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA) and Patent Law Forum (PLF).
