Securities

Gifts of appreciated stock may offer tax savings with an income tax deduction for the market value of the donated shares and also by avoiding capital gains tax on the appreciation. To transfer securities to Pierce Law it is important you or your broker first. Contact the Director of Development Office, at (603) 513-5106 or development@piercelaw.edu so that your gift will be properly credited when received.

Matching Gifts

You can easily double or even triple your gift to Pierce Law if your company (or your spouse’s company) has a matching gift program. Typically the employee obtains a company form and submits it, with their donation, to Pierce Law; please check with your company’s human resources department for instructions.

Bequest

You may be able to make a significant contribution to Pierce Law that would not be possible during your lifetime by naming Franklin Pierce Law Center as a recipient of a charitable bequest in your will.

Planned Gifts

With a planned (deferred) gift you may make gifts to Pierce Law you previously thought impossible by providing for the law center with a bequest, through your estate or with other deferred arrangements. Some arrangements may allow you to maximize your charitable contribution and ensure your future financial security or that of a loved one. Donors may enjoy benefits including increased income and tax savings while providing lifetime income to beneficiaries named by the donor.

Gifts of Property

Donors may consider a gift of real estate or other property to Pierce Law. The law center receives a wide variety of such gifts, including real estate, books and equipment.
