International Intellectual Property Organization
Goals
The International Intellectual Property Organization (IIPO) is dedicated to educating the student body on the role of intellectual property in our global society, how nations around the world strive to protect IP rights, and how IP affects the quality of life and economies of those countries.
The International Intellectual Property Organization (IIPO):
- promotes the study and understanding of international intellectual property;
- provides a forum where Pierce Law students from a variety of geographical backgrounds can share their perspectives and experiences with intellectual property law;
- analyzes the similarities and differences between the varying intellectual property regulations found in countries across the globe; and
- discusses the socioeconomic impact these regulations have on populations in both developing and developed countries.
How You Can Get Involved
The Pierce Law International Intellectual Property Organization holds monthly lunchtime meetings where an international student (or a group of students from the same country) shares their insights and experiences concerning the role and structure of IP regulations within their own country.
