International Intellectual Property Organization
Goals
The International Intellectual Property Organization (IIPO) is dedicated to educating the student body on the role of intellectual property in our global society, how nations around the world strive to protect IP rights, and how IP affects the quality of life and economies of those countries.
The International Intellectual Property Organization (IIPO) shall:
- promote the study and understanding of international intellectual
property;

provide a forum where Pierce Law students from a variety of
geographical backgrounds can share their perspectives and experiences
with intellectual property law;

analyze the similarities and differences between the varying
intellectual property regulations found in countries across the globe;
and
- discuss the socioeconomic impact these regulations have on populations in both developing and developed countries.

How You Can Get Involved
The Pierce Law International Intellectual Property Organization is planning to have monthly lunchtime meetings where an international student (or a group of students from the same country) will share their insights and experiences concerning the role and structure of IP regulations within their own country.
Therefore, we are now recruiting international students who would welcome the opportunity to speak to other Pierce Law Community Members about IP from the perspective of their home countries.
