Intellectual Property Summer Institute (IPSI)

May 24 - June 25, 2010

Welcome to Concord

Concord is a small, prosperous city of about 40,000 people that has much to offer. As the capital of New Hampshire, it is centrally located––only one hour's drive from Boston, White Mountains, State's Lakes Region, and Atlantic Ocean beaches. Allowance is made in planning the curriculum for Institute participants to enjoy Concord's fine golf courses and other recreational facilities, plus the summertime attractions of the surrounding area.

Credits

The maximum number of credits a student can take is six (6).

Tuition, Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition for the program is $1230 per credit. Tuition payment, in full, is required by May 10, 2010. All checks should be made payable to Franklin Pierce Law Center. Credit card payment for tuition will be accepted from those students not pursuing student loans, this payment may be made online only. Please contact Denise Presby in the Business Office for payment information. JD students from other US law schools should inquire about financial aid through their home law school. Students applying for student loans are required to notify the Director of Summer Programs, in writing, that a loan is in process and that the student understands he/she is obligated to pay full tuition prior to the start of classes.

Housing

While Pierce Law itself does not have student dormitories, reasonably priced housing arrangements are readily available within walking distance to the school and downtown. Average summertime sublets and rentals range from $450 to $800 per month. A list of rentals and sublets will be available to Institute participants in April 2010. Please contact Christine Boisvert at cboisvert@piercelaw.edu.
