Professor Dickinson has been a member of Pierce Law's full time faculty
since its founding in the fall of 1973.
In 1987 Dickinson served as a visiting lecturer in the Law Department
of Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, People's Republic of China. In 1998
he traveled to Sophia Bulgaria as a Fulbright Senior Lecturer in Law to
both the New Bulgarian University and St. Klimint Orhidski Sophia
University. In May of 2000 and 2002, Dickinson gave lectures on the
concept of Fundamental Human Rights at the Law Department of the
Vologda State Pedagogical Institute, pursuant to a USIA grant funding
Pierce Law's joint project with the University of New Hampshire.
This joint project was to develop a 'Rule of Law' project at Vologda
Russia.
On leave from the Law Center 1977-1979, Professor Dickinson served as a
consumer attorney at Legal Serves of Nashville and Middle
Tennessee. While there, he also managed that Program's Private
Attorney Delivery Model.
He has appeared in State and Federal Appellate proceedings involving
criminal procedure matters. Since 1993 he has served, by gubernatorial
appointments, as a member of the New Hampshire Workers Compensation
Appeals Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the New
Hampshire Disabilities Rights Center. He is admitted to practice in
Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Tennessee (inactive).
