Kacie Hubbs '11

PIC Fellow, New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union (NHCLU), Concord, NH

The New Hampshire legislature’s recent mandate to commission a study on the death penalty created an opportunity for Kacie Hubbs to work closely with the New Hampshire Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, and raised community awareness and support.

Hubbs interpreted relevant city ordinances, researched supportive cases, and wrote letters and memos. In addition, Kacie worked with the NHCLU Education Committee to establish a student rights conference designed to educate others of students’ 1st and 4th amendment rights.

“Without PIC, I could not have afforded to volunteer for a public interest organization such as the NHCLU.”
