Prior to coming to Pierce Law, Megan De Vorsey practiced criminal defense in Georgia. She was a lawyer in the Federal Defender Program for the Northern District of Georgia. Professor De Vorsey also worked for the Fulton County Public Defender as a trial lawyer and the Appeals Supervisor. Professor De Vorsey worked for the Legal Aid and Defender Society in Athens, Georgia, where she supervised University of Georgia law students in court. Before becoming a public defender, Professor De Vorsey clerked for Judge Charles Mikell in the State Court of Chatham County and practiced admiralty law in Savannah, Georgia.

Professor De Vorsey was elected to the Concord School Board in 2004 and serves as Chair of the Finance Committee.
