CONCORD, NH - Franklin Pierce Law Center will hold its Tenth Comprehensive Patent Cooperation (PCT) Treaty Seminar, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of Geneva, Switzerland on Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, 2008.
Vital for administrators, patent paralegals, as well as patent agents and attorneys, the seminar will provide participants in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The seminar will be held at the Courtyard Marriott in Concord, NH.
The program is directed by Karl Jorda, David Rines Professor of Intellectual Property Law and director of the Germeshausen Center at Pierce Law. Key speakers will be Carol Bidwell and David Reed, consultants from the WIPO office of the PCT.
The one and one-half day seminar will focus on the following topics: strategies for using the PCT as part of a comprehensive patent program; PCT rules of practice under Chapters I and II; and procedures for filing original international applications through international search, publication, amendments, examination and entry into the national stage.
Registration is $395. The fee includes course book, breakfast, lunch and breaks. Participants are invited to attend a reception on Friday evening, following the day's lectures.
