The New Hampshire Bar Foundation awarded the Franklin Pierce Law Center a Justice Grant of $3,500 to fund a Public Interest Coalition fellowship, it was announced today.
“Pierce Law very much appreciates the New Hampshire Bar Foundation's continued support,” said Megan De Vorsey, director of the Social Justice Institute.
According to De Vorsey, “The fellowships are awarded to selected students who demonstrate the commitment and qualifications for this vitally important work. Public Interest Coalition (PIC) Fellows serve a wide range of client needs during their summer internships and the work they do is enormously valued by the organizations and clients they serve.”
Students are selected as PIC Fellows through a competitive application process. Fellows work with nonprofit organizations and government agencies serving the legal needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged clients, locally, nationally and internationally.
The Justice Grant is made possible by the foundation's Advancement of Justice, Richard P. Dunfey, Hon. William F. Batchelder, Vickie Bunnell Memorial, and A.J. McDonough Family funds.
