Prof. Sparrow Co-Authors Teaching Law by Design
Professor Sophie Sparrow is co-author of Teaching Law by Design: Engaging Students from the Syllabus to the Final Exam, newly published by Carolina Academic Press.
A press release from Carolina Academic describes the book as "designed to synthesize the latest research on teaching and learning for new and experienced law teachers. The book begins with basic principles of teaching and learning theory, provides insights into how law students experience traditional law teaching, and then guides law teachers through the entire process of teaching a course."
Prof. Sparrow has long been a leader in innovative, research-based teaching. Her co-authors are Professors Michael Hunter Schwartz and Gerry Hess, co-directors of the Institute for Law Teaching and Learning.
